Top Holi-Dates in Hartford | Themba Moalusi

December is the worst month for a college student. It’s not because of finals, but something much worse. HOLIDAY SEASON!

It’s the time of the month when students in relationships must be in full romantic mode. You can’t walk into a store without hearing Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You or dodge the reruns of Home Alone.

We all know dates can be pricey, but here are a few holiday dates that won’t break your wallet.

  1. Winterfest Hartford- Bushnell Park, Hartford CT

Winterfest is Hartford’s own free outdoor ice-skating rink.  It opens every year after Thanksgiving. The rink is open throughout the day.  It’s the perfect place to hold your partner’s hand and attempt not to bust your ass on the ice.  The scenery is beautiful and full of Christmas decorations hanging on the trees. If you don’t know how to skate, then you’re in luck; they offer free skating lessons. It might be best to take the lessons before going on the date. https://www.winterfesthartford.com/
