CCSU Police Blotter

OCT 9, 2024 – CCSU Police responded to a complaint of incessant meowing on the fourth floor of Thomas Gallaudet Residence Hall. Shelter Officer Felix Chow reported scratching sounds behind doors and clumps of hair floating through the halls. Upon further investigation, Chow uncovered a quad of six students hoarding cats in their rooms. Officer Chow confiscated six cats citing University Policy 34.543G regarding the “unauthorized housing of pets in dorm rooms.” The confiscated felines are named as follows: Gouda, Cheddar, Brie, Mozzarella, Parm, and Feta. A sophomore, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Blue Muse “We’re childless cat ladies and love cheese. Is that a crime?” Emergency placement for the pets is currently underway. Chow ate the cheese.
